Back to the classics: Dr Martens
Nothing has ever been more classic than Dr Marten boot. Forever a symbol of the working class, a company named Griggs created their first boot in Northamptonshire and immediately found themselves as the centre of British work boots. It wasn't until fifty years later that the classic Dr Marten boot would come into being; a combination of British design and German form and function. Since then the boot has been a cornerstone of culture and history, making waves in counter-culture and becoming symbolic of defiance, until becoming a firm feature in fashion today.
But, despite being a fixture on runways, Dr Martens continue to be a true working boot. Their famous air-cushion sole was revolutionary, a far cry from the hard leather of before. This sole has only been improved with age, and with it, the boots promise to be comfortable in every sense of the word.
